Kyle Haskins became an Associate Justice with the Cherokee Nation Supreme Court in July 2006. Justice Haskins is a graduate of Enid High School, Oklahoma State University, and the University of Tulsa College of Law. He is a former partner in the law firm of Crawford, Crowe, Bainbridge & Haskins. He began serving as a juvenile court Referee in 1997 and then as a state court Special Judge in 1999. Justice Haskins has also served on the Cherokee Nation Election Commission and as an Adjunct Law Professor at the University of Tulsa College of Law.
Justice Haskins’ mother was Director of Indian Education at Harvard for many years before her death in 2000. Justice Haskins’ son is a pre-med student at Dartmouth College and will attend medical school. He is committed to return to Oklahoma to provide medical care to the citizens of the Cherokee Nation.
